YI-JEONG Industrial (IJE), a propeller shaft and universal joint manufacturer in Taichung, Taiwan, will introduce a forged 6061 aluminum 1350-series tube yoke at the SEMA Show, November 3–6, 2026, in Las Vegas. At Central Hall booth #20165, IJE will also take custom driveshaft orders from builders and distributors.

Key points
  • New: a forged 6061 aluminum 1350-series tube yoke for 3.5–4.5 inch aluminum driveshaft tubes, available to order now.
  • Custom driveshafts built to the dimensions of the actual vehicle, in small batches.
  • In-house testing: torque testing system rated to 30,000 N·m, fatigue and durability tests, Schenck dynamic balancing, 100% inspection of custom parts.
  • More than 40 years of driveline manufacturing in Taiwan, working as a contract manufacturer that keeps customer designs confidential.

A forged tube yoke for aluminum driveshafts

Most aluminum driveshafts on the market use tube yokes machined from billet. IJE forges the yoke instead. Forging shapes the part close to its final form, so the metal’s grain follows the shape of the yoke rather than being cut through by machining. The result is a yoke that is substantially stronger than a machined part.

“Builders show up at SEMA with ideas that aren’t in anyone’s catalog. We make the driveshaft that fits the build, and we test it before it ships.”

Stephon Lin, General Manager, YI-JEONG Industrial

Custom driveshafts built to the vehicle

In the North American aftermarket, builders stretch wheelbases, lift trucks and swap transmissions. Each change moves the driveshaft length and the operating angles, so an off-the-shelf shaft often won’t fit. IJE builds the shaft to the dimensions the vehicle actually has, in small batches.

Every modification changes the driveshaft. IJE builds to the measured vehicle.

The Taichung plant runs CNC lathes and mills, turn-mill centers, grinding, gear hobbing, broaching, wire EDM and automatic welding. A one-off prototype goes through the same process as a production run. Bringing a project to the show? Read our SEMA Show sourcing checklist first.

Made in Taiwan, under contract

IJE has been making driveline parts in Taiwan for more than 40 years. Taiwan is known for its chips, but it also has one of the deepest metalworking supply chains in the world. IJE works as a contract manufacturer: customer designs and patents remain the customer’s property.

Proof, not promises

IJE tests what it builds. Its torque testing system is rated to 30,000 N·m (about 22,100 lb·ft), which the company believes is the largest in Taiwan. The lab also runs fatigue and durability tests and has a Schenck dynamic balancing machine. Custom parts are 100% inspected on a CMM and vision measuring systems.

Frequently asked questions

Is the forged aluminum 1350 tube yoke available now?

Yes. The forged 6061 aluminum 1350-series tube yoke is available to order now.

Which tube sizes does the forged yoke fit?

It fits aluminum driveshaft tubes from 3.5 to 4.5 inches in diameter.

Why is a forged tube yoke stronger than a billet yoke?

Forging shapes the aluminum close to the final form, so the grain follows the shape of the yoke. A billet yoke is machined from a solid block, which cuts through the grain.

Can IJE build a driveshaft for a modified vehicle?

Yes. IJE builds custom driveshafts to the measured length and angles of the vehicle, in small batches, including one-off prototypes.

Where is IJE at SEMA Show 2026?
